As a Music Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging and innovative music lessons to secondary school students. You will have the opportunity to develop and implement creative curriculum plans, organize performances and events, and inspire students to explore their musical interests. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong subject knowledge, and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Responsibilities

• Delivering high-quality music lessons to primary and secondary school students


• Designing and implementing creative and engaging music curriculum plans


• Organizing and leading performances, concerts, and musical events


• Assessing and evaluating student progress, providing feedback, and setting goals for improvement


• Collaborating with other music teachers and school staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment


• Creating and maintaining an inclusive and safe classroom environment conducive to learning and musical exploration


• Keeping up-to-date with new teaching methods, resources, and technologies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field


• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification


• Proven experience teaching music to primary and secondary school students


• Strong subject knowledge in music theory, history, and practical skills


• Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders


• Passion for music education and a commitment to nurturing students' creativity and musical development
