Job Description - National Account Manager

As a National Account Manager at Albert Bartlett, you will play a pivotal role in driving our business growth and enhancing our market position within the potato industry. With a rich history of over 70 years, we are committed to quality and innovation, and we are searching for an adept Commercial Manager to join our dynamic team.

Your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute commercial strategies that align with our business objectives while fostering strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders. You will lead the commercial team to identify new business opportunities, manage key accounts, and ensure that our offerings meet and exceed customer expectations. If you are passionate about the food industry and have a knack for strategic thinking and relationship management, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to achieve sales growth and profitability targets.
  • Manage key customer accounts and maintain strong relationships to ensure loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and competitive positioning.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align initiatives with customer needs.
  • Oversee pricing strategies and negotiate contracts with customers and suppliers to maximize value.
  • Lead and mentor the commercial team, providing guidance and support to achieve individual and team objectives.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on commercial performance, market insights, and strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Proven experience in a commercial management or similar role, preferably within the food manufacturing or FMCG sectors.
  • Strong understanding of commercial principles, sales strategies, and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and financial metrics.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership abilities and experience in managing and motivating a team.
  • A track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Relevant degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software; experience with data analysis tools is an advantage.
