Job Description - National account manager

Job Title: National/Key Account Manager - White Goods Department: MDA Sales Reporting to: Senior National Account Manager About the Role To support in the account and relationship management of a large National Account to build profitable sales growth across MDA & SDA categories on our leading brands.

This role includes directly managing 1 MDA category with progression to 2 categories for the largest electrical retailer.

Work with the team on strategies and tactical plans to grow Major Appliances across key categories of Cooling, Laundry, Cooking, Dish and SDA.

You will work to ensure growth aligned to business targets.

This role is an excellent opportunity to develop upon the skills required for a National Account Management role and would suit an individual who enjoys responsibility, has a strong personality and drive to achieve results.

Account Support Responsibilities: · Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure long-term success.

· Ensure brand consistency.

Liaise closely with Marketing team and agencies to ensure any Trading activity is supported and brand gains maximum exposure across all media.

· Support NAM/SNAM on internal and external weekly reports such as SOA Trackers / Account performance updates / Sales data trends etc.

· Process Account SOA requests quickly and efficiently.

· Liaise with Sales, Marketing and Product departments in set up and launch of new models/platforms/categories with Accounts.

Includes supporting on completing Account New line forms and content is provided aligned to launch schedules.

· Attending internal and external meetings and taking notes for the SNAM.

· Conducting monthly updates to Accruals and working with the Sales Admin to ensure Account Debit Notes/claims are processed aligned to business deadlines.

Assist in resolving any outstanding queries.

· Support on Account Range Review and QBR Meetings - this would include presenting on Account performance, supporting in ordering the correct samples, arranging the venue, taking meeting notes etc.

· Involvement in ad hoc projects to benefit the Business.

For example – Supporting on Retailer Events / MDA Project lead for MDA Training for store promoter team etc.

· Day to day contact for both internal and external stakeholders to ensure all ad hoc queries are resolved.

Cover National Account Management role during Sales Managers annual leave Direct Category Management responsibilities: · Network with key customers to identify and address specific needs.

· Internally and Externally the direct contact for the MDA categories managed.

· Ensure accurate forecasting and that the Sales Plan and PSI/IBP updated aligned to lead-times.

· Closely manage any aged stock & obsolete opportunities and maintain an accurate awareness and working knowledge of stock levels.

· Work with the SNAM to develop and implement the long-term business strategies, to achieve sales and profit targets.

Including supporting on any Terms negotiations for the categories managed directly.

· Broaden the business opportunities by investigating and developing, as appropriate, all options for route to market.

· Manage support to the sales channel through sales promotions, marketing initiatives and training.

· To present activity and performance results at sales meetings.

Communicate new ideas to maximise sales and profit and brand awareness.

· Discuss with Senior Management creative ways of using additional funding for channel development.

· Report current pricing & product trend information, work with company management to formulate new strategies.

Requirements · Educated to Degree level · 2+ year working as a KAM Level or Buyer.

· Experience managing MDA, SDA or CE categories would be advantageous.

· Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven track record of working to KPI's and achieving targets with direct account and budget responsibility.

· Able to demonstrate good attention to detail, excellent numeracy and analytical skills · Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

· Excellent PC skills with good working knowledge of Excel, Power Point, Outlook & Teams.

· Excellent team working skills; Results focused attitude; Proven problem-solving skills · Proven ability to exceed sales and profitability targets and experience dealing with pressure · Full UK Driving Licence required.

· Office based –minimum 2 days a week to Stoke (showroom)
