Job Description - National Business Development Manager
National Business Development Manager Witham, Essex £50,000 - £55,000 + OTE £80,000 - £90,000 Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
Our client is looking for a National Business Development Manager to identify, develop and secure new business opportunities across the built environment sector. This role focuses on building strategic client relationships, developing new business, and driving commercial growth.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the property sector Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients through networking, referrals, and targeted business development activity Develop new relationships with key decision makers and understand client requirements Create and deliver strategic sales plans for prospective clients, sectors, and geographical area Work towards agreed commercial sales objectives through business development and pipeline management Introduce and onboard new clients, ensuring a smooth handover to internal teams Attend client meetings confidently delivering presentations, Attend networking events, and industry exhibitions Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to support business growth Maintain accurate records and provide regular pipeline and activity updates Support continuous improvement and company quality standardsWhat We're Looking For
Previous experience in business development, sales or commercial growth roles Strong relationship building and networking skills Experience developing and managing a sales pipeline Confident communicating with senior stakeholders and decision makers Commercially aware with a proactive approach to winning new business Strong organisational and planning skills Good IT skills and experience using CRM systems Professional, commercially driven and results focusedBenefits
