Role summary

You will provide a high-quality, place-based housing and neighbourhood management service, working closely with residents across a designated patch. The role will involve managing complex tenancy and resident casework, supporting vulnerable residents, maintaining safe and well-managed estates, and working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.

This is a highly visible, resident-facing position requiring a proactive approach to resolving issues and improving outcomes for residents and communities.

What you will do as a Neighbourhood Officer

·Deliver a proactive tenancy and neighbourhood management service across a designated patch.
·Manage a varied portfolio of complex housing and resident casework, including tenancy breaches, safeguarding, anti-social behaviour, domestic abuse, hoarding and other support needs.
·Carry out estate and block inspections, identify health and safety concerns, raise repairs and follow actions through to completion.
·Support tenancy sustainment, identifying vulnerable residents and working with appropriate internal and external agencies.
·Investigate and resolve tenancy and leasehold issues, neighbour disputes and lower-level anti-social behaviour, taking appropriate enforcement action where required.
·Work closely with residents, community groups, statutory agencies and partner services to improve neighbourhoods and resident outcomes.

What you will need as a Neighbourhood Officer

·Previous experience delivering customer-facing tenancy or housing management services.
·Experience managing a portfolio of complex housing and resident casework.
·Strong knowledge and practical understanding of housing law.
·Experience working within a complex housing organisation and managing competing priorities.
·Demonstrable experience of resident engagement, community development and partnership working.
·Experience in areas such as safeguarding, domestic abuse, mental health, hoarding, property condition, mediation, anti-social behaviour or substance misuse would be advantageous.
