Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a .Net Developer for an initial 18 month contract on a rate of £400-£440/day (Outside IR35). This role will be a hybrid of working at home and in the office.
Responsibilities:
- The organisation is commencing a project to build a new .Net application deployed into the Azure Cloud. This new application will replace an in house built, on premise application which has reached end of life. - Bolster other developer’s capacity and bring their experience to help design and develop a robust and sustainable solution. The project will be delivered using the SCRUM methodology.
Essential Skills:
- Experience of design and build of .Net application from scratch - Use of Azure DevOps/GitHub - Implementing a defined security model - Building Unit tests that can be automatically tested by the build pipeline - Building, testing and deploying APIs to integrate with other services in the cloud - Building User Interfaces - .Net framework version as required. - Identification of and developing with components/libraries where possible. - Build Pipeline Setup - Application Code Push - .Net Framework - .Net Core - C# - Javascript & Jquery - RESTful APIs - SOAP Web Services - SQL Server (T-SQL, data migration, security, troubleshooting) - Experience with Azure PAAS (app services, azure SQL, azure functions, logic apps, key vault) - Azure Dev-ops - Azure Active Directory integration (OIDC, OAUTH2) - Source Control: GIT, TFVC - MVC .Net Core - Powershell - Java Script - CSS - Agile/SCRUM experience - An essential part of the project is the skills transfer to the internal development team so ability to communicate effectively is key.
Desirable Skills:
- Entity Framework - WCF - Azure Dev-ops (source control (GIT, TFVC), CICD) - ARM templates, Azure CLI, or similar deployment automation tools - Azure PAAS (app services, azure SQL, azure functions, logic apps, key vault) - Azure Active Directory integration (OIDC, OAUTH2)
