Network Analyst

Salary : £34,253 to £40,298 (dependent on experience)
Contract type : Permanent
Hours : Full-Time
Location : Poole, Dorset, England
Location description : Hybrid working arrangement between home and Poole, as required for the role. Occasional travel to remote sites will be expected, therefore a full UK driving license is required

About the role

You will be part of the friendly, collaborative Network team providing administration and maintenance of the on-premise and Cloud Networks. Your day will primarily consist of providing remote support, based around routing protocols and connectivity faults. As a Network Analyst, you will undertake a fast-paced, technical role on a steep learning curve. It will be your responsibility to provide Networking & Telephony support and excellent customer service to our clients.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

- Use the ticketing system to log customer enquiries
- Proactively monitor for traps and alarms via our Network monitoring tools
- Troubleshooting and resolving Networking & Telephony faults in adherence to SLAs
- Being the escalation point for 1st and 2nd line support of faults and outages

About you

Knowledge and Experience required:

- Passion for working within the Networking & Telephony field.
- Ability to handle customer queries over the phone in a polite and professional way.
- We are looking for candidates that have?either:
- Completed a relevant Networking degree.
- Achieved an industry-standard networking certification (CCNA).
- Experience working in a similar Service Desk IT/Network support role.

Desirable skills:

- Strong understanding of Networking fundamentals (routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS).
- Understanding of routing and redundancy protocols (BGP, OSPF, VRRP, HSPR).
- Experience working within a Network Support environment.
