PERMANENT OPPORTUNITY FOR A NETWORK ENGINEER TO JOIN A TECHNICAL TEAM IN A SECURE ENVIRONMENT

• Permanent role for a Network Engineer
• DV clearance required
• Based in Aldershot with hybrid working (~3 days per week on site)
• Salary from £40,000 to £55,000
• Work on secure, high-impact infrastructure

ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a DV Cleared Network Engineer to join a dedicated team working on critical national infrastructure projects. You'll help support and enhance secure network environments in a hands-on capacity, combining day-to-day troubleshooting with the opportunity to contribute to new deployments, testing, and continuous improvements.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Supporting the day-to-day performance, reliability and security of secure networks
• Working with a range of networking technologies including routers, firewalls and switches
• Contributing to the design and implementation of network changes and upgrades
• Assisting with configuration, monitoring, fault resolution and testing
• Collaborating with engineers across platforms, infrastructure and security

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Experience supporting enterprise networks across multiple sites
• Strong understanding of core networking protocols such as OSPF and BGP
• Comfortable working with WAN/LAN environments
• Experience configuring firewalls and managing network security policies
• Ability to work independently in a secure, fast-moving environment
• Must hold active DV clearance (Developed Vetting)

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

• Familiarity with software-defined or fabric-based networking
• Exposure to classified or encrypted networks
• Scripting or automation using tools like Ansible or Terraform
• Experience with virtualised network platforms (e.g. VMware NSX)
• Cisco or equivalent hands-on certifications are a bonus
