Network Occupancy Co-ordinator

About the job.

At National Highways we’re looking for a Network Occupancy Co-ordinator to join our team based in the North West region. 

Within the role, you will be supporting the decision making and co-ordination of activities on the regional network as well as optimising the overall network availability and ensuring minimal disruption to customers. You will also be ensuring network occupancy is compliant with all National Highways governance & be aware of future activity demands requiring occupation of the network. 

This role can be based from our Warrington Office.

• Manage, analyse and coordinate requests, notices and permits for network occupancy, including internal and third party works on the network as the Network Occupancy Controller. 


• Provide feedback and guidance on requests, notices and permits for network occupancy. 


• Maintain and oversee the management of information in the National Highways Network Occupancy Management System and other associated systems in an accurate and timely manner. 


• Manage Abnormal Load notifications and ensure that relevant policies and procedures are followed. 


• Manage  communications regarding booking confirmation, rejections or variations. 

About you.

• Knowledge of the Traffic Management Act and New Road & Street Works Act (Desirable ) 


• Good planning and organisational ability. 


• Good decision-making skills 


• Good communication and customer service skills. 


• Proficient in MS Office application

External candidates will be offered a starting salary at the lower end of the pay scale, while current employees will be appointed in accordance with our established pay policy.
