Job Description - New Business Manager/Director

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER/DIRECTOR 


 


Location: Poulton, Gloucestershire, Hybrid

Position Overview: 


We are seeking an experienced Business Development Director to lead our growth initiatives and expand our client base. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development within the digital marketing sector, enthusiasm, and a deep understanding of digital marketing and current trends. 


Key Responsibilities: 



  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve revenue targets and enhance market presence. 



  • Exploration: Work to understand Equimedia’s proposition, services and expertise and how they align with emerging trends.   



  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, opportunitiescompetitor activities, and potential growth areas. 



  • Proposition developmentIdentify innovative ways to position the agency and its services in a crowded market. 



  • Client Acquisition: Identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities through networking, industry events and partnerships. 



  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including colleagues, clients, prospective clients, and industry influencers. 



  • Collaboration: Work closely with our team to create compelling proposals for prospective clients and ensure a successful on-boarding and handover of new clients. 



  • Reporting: Monitor and report on business development performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. 


Qualifications and skills: 



  • Proven experience in business development, preferably in the digital marketing industry. 



  • Excellent at prospecting and generating new business opportunities.  



  • Strong network of industry contacts and a solid understanding of digital marketing trends and technologies. 



  • In-depth understanding of digital marketing and emerging trends in the digital landscape.  



  • Excellent written and in person communication skillscapable of developing compelling business propositions, leading pitches and with great presentation skills. 



  • Proficient in negotiating contract terms to ensure we build mutually beneficial client relationships 



  • Results-driven, self-motivated and tenacious approach to meeting and exceeding targets and KPI’s.  



  • Great active listener and capable of adapting style to suit an audience.  



  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Experienced at using Hubspot. 



  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills. 



  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
