We’re working with a well-established insurer seeking a New Business Underwriter to join their growing commercial team. You’ll be working on a mix of inbound and broker-led leads across niche charity, club, and community sectors—cases that don’t fit the usual mould.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Managing a 50/50 split of inbound web referrals and broker business
Speaking with customers and brokers to understand complex or non-standard risks
Working on SME sized premiums (all under £5,000 GWP) , with a focus on charity and community groups
Collaborating with a specialist bespoke team for more complex underwriting needs
Plus you can enjoy the flexibility to explore secondments into other teams

What We’re Looking For:
Experience in commercial broking or underwriting
Exposure to delegated authority (DA) or underwriting environments is ideal
Strong communication skills - confidence on the phone is key
Cert CII qualification (or working towards it) is a bonus
New business experience is highly desirable
A positive, team-oriented mindset
