Data and Examinations Manager | Wandsworth

£40k–£45k | School Data and Examinations Manager | Wandsworth

As the Data and Examinations Manager, you will be responsible for the curation and analysis of data across the school. You will oversee the storage of data within the MIS and the effective use of information across the school.

The Data and Examinations Manager will carry out research, produce reports and manage third-party reporting systems such as Power BI, empowering staff to undertake their own analysis.

We strongly encourage candidates with previous experience as a School Data and Examinations Manager to apply.

Data and Examinations Manager Responsibilities:

• Work alongside colleagues to ensure pupil records are complete and accurate, maintaining the integrity of school data.


• Manage statutory returns processes, including the school census, and support routine exercises such as Tables Checking.


• Extract and interpret data from Power BI and the school’s MIS to create internal and ad hoc reports, as well as complete termly Trust ‘Insight’ reports.


• Oversee systems relating to data and examinations, supporting colleagues in their effective use.


• Manage housekeeping routines to ensure the MIS remains accurate, up to date and fit for purpose.


• Use third-party tools such as FFT Aspire to load appropriate benchmarks and targets into the school’s management information.


• Support teachers in setting robust targets that enable students to reach their full potential.


• Maintain information relating to qualifications and enrolments on the Management Information System, including downloading and maintaining the latest Qualification Numbers (QANs).

Data and Examinations Manager Requirements:

• Proven experience working in a Data and Examinations role within a school setting.


• Strong proficiency in Power BI.


• Excellent organisational and project management skills.


• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy when managing data.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• A strong understanding of school data, examinations and management information systems.
