Conveyancing Assistant
Location: Leeds (Roundhay)
Salary: £24,000 to £30,000 plus benefits
Experience: Previous residential conveyancing assistant experience

This role suits someone who is organised, proactive, and confident supporting fee earners throughout the full lifecycle of a residential conveyancing transaction.
You will support Conveyancing Fee Earners on a varied caseload of residential property matters, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases. You’ll be a key point of contact for clients and third parties, helping transactions progress smoothly and keeping communication clear and consistent.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing client, estate agent, lender and solicitor communications by telephone, email and letter
- Proactively progressing transactions and providing regular updates to clients
- Opening new files and completing AML and client due diligence checks
- Requesting searches, title documents, redemption statements and other key information
- Reviewing and preparing conveyancing documentation
- Drafting and issuing contract packs
- Preparing replies to enquiries and requisitions
- Assisting with exchange of contracts and completions
- Preparing completion statements and bills
- Maintaining accurate file records and updating the case management system
- Supporting post-completion administration where required
- Liaising professionally with all parties to keep matters moving efficiently
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Conveyancing Assistant within a residential conveyancing team
- Experience supporting freehold and leasehold sales and purchases from instruction through to completion
- Sound understanding of conveyancing procedures and transaction workflows
- Working knowledge of AML regulations and client verification requirements
- Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Excellent communication skills and strong client care
- Proactive approach and ability to work well under pressure
Nice to Have
- Experience with remortgages and transfers of equity
- Experience working paperless or paper-light
- Familiarity with case management systems

- Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 5:30pm (slightly shorter hours considered)
