Deputy Nursery Manager – Level 3

£31,500 per Annum | 40 Hours per Week

We're looking for a confident and enthusiastic Deputy Nursery Manager to support the Nursery Manager in leading a dedicated team, maintaining high standards of care and creating a positive environment where children and practitioners can thrive.

What We're Looking For

• A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above – essential


• Previous experience in a senior nursery position, ideally as a Deputy Nursery Manager


• Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements


• Experience leading, motivating and supporting Early Years practitioners


• Confidence overseeing daily nursery operations and maintaining high standards


• A passion for creating engaging, play-based learning experiences


• Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills


• A caring, proactive and hands-on approach

Supporting the Nursery's Leadership

• Support the Nursery Manager with the smooth day-to-day running of the setting


• Lead, motivate and mentor practitioners, encouraging high-quality Early Years practice


• Ensure care and education are delivered consistently in line with the EYFS


• Support the delivery of an engaging curriculum that encourages children's confidence and independence


• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety and regulatory compliance


• Assist with staff supervision, development and daily staffing arrangements


• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues


• Support Ofsted preparation and continuous improvement


• Take responsibility for the nursery in the Manager's absence
