We are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join an established food manufacturing business based in Stirlingshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to join a busy manufacturing environment where you'll work across a broad range of production and processing equipment.

Working as part of the site engineering team, you'll provide both electrical and mechanical maintenance support, helping to maximise equipment reliability, minimise downtime and keep production running efficiently.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planned and preventative maintenance across production machinery and site equipment


• Responding to breakdowns and carrying out effective fault finding


• Electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs


• Working with motors, VFDs and PLC-controlled equipment


• Maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems


• Supporting equipment installations and engineering projects


• Working closely with production teams to schedule maintenance while minimising disruption


• Maintaining accurate engineering records for breakdowns, repairs and installations


• Working with external engineering contractors when required


• Ensuring engineering activity is completed in line with health & safety and food safety requirements


• Providing on-call support as part of the engineering rota

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with a strong hands-on engineering background who is comfortable working across both electrical and mechanical maintenance.

Ideally, you'll have:

• A recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent formal engineering qualification


• Experience maintaining electrical and mechanical plant or machinery


• Experience of both planned maintenance and reactive breakdowns


• Knowledge of motors, VFDs and PLCs


• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems


• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills


• A proactive approach to preventative maintenance


• Experience within food, drink, FMCG or another fast-paced manufacturing environment would be advantageous, although relevant experience from other manufacturing sectors will also be considered
