Job Description

Equifind are supporting a fast-growing fintech on the hunt for an immediately available Interim Financial Controller who can step in, take charge, and elevate the finance function during an exciting period of growth.

You'll be leading a small team tightening up the month-end process, and making sure the management accounts are polished, consistent, and presentation-ready for senior leadership.

There’s plenty of project work, FP&A, modelling, and strategic involvement for someone who wants more than BAU.

The Role

• Owning day-to-day control and month-end


• Managing and developing junior team members


• Producing clean, reliable management accounts each month and presenting to C-Suite


• Leading budgeting, forecasting & financial modelling


• Driving process improvements and strengthening controls


• Supporting strategic and commercial finance projects


• Partnering with leadership across business


• Supporting ad hoc analysis and helping shape future planning

Requirements

• Strong audit foundation: ACA / CA / ACCA preferred


• Excellent statutory accounts and technical accounting experience


• Confident financial modeller with solid budgeting and forecasting


• Comfortable in dynamic SME or scale-up settings


• Xero knowledge helpful (but strong systems users welcome)


• Able to start within 1–2 weeks max

• £450 -550 per day Outside IR35, depending on experience
