A Land & New Homes Consultant is required to join a growing land and development team based in Chelmsford. This role involves supporting land acquisition activity, identifying opportunities, and assisting with the progression of sites through the development pipeline.

Salary: OTE £40,000 per annum

The successful candidate will work closely with senior land professionals and the new homes team to research potential sites, assess development opportunities, and engage with landowners and developers.

This position offers exposure to the full lifecycle of land and residential development, from initial identification through to planning and eventual build and sale stages.

The Company:

What You'll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities) as a Property Manager:

• Conduct land reviews to identify suitable development opportunities and target locations


• Research demographics, infrastructure, and planning data to support site assessments


• Use LandInsight and mapping tools to identify and evaluate potential sites


• Maintain and update internal databases with land opportunities and site information


• Arrange and attend site visits, inspections, and meetings with landowners alongside senior colleagues


• Support networking activity with developers and industry contacts to build relationships and generate opportunities 

What our client is looking for (Skills & Experience):

• Strong understanding of the property market and residential development sector


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Strong organisational and time management abilities


• Confident user of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint


• Self-motivated with a proactive and professional approach


• Ability to research, analyse, and interpret data effectively


• Full UK driving licence essential


• Previous experience in land, property, or development roles desirable but not essential
