New Job Opening: Principal Planning Officer in Amersham, Buckinghamshire

Job Description

Buckinghamshire Council are looking for a Principal Planner, role includes:

• Managing a caseload of major planning applications, primarily residential and mixed-use developments ranging from approximately 80 to 750 dwellings.


• Signing off planning applications and providing professional oversight on planning decisions.


• Negotiating and managing Planning Performance Agreements (PPAs) to ensure timely and effective project delivery.


• Preparing and presenting reports to Planning Committee where required.


• Assessing applications within Green Belt locations and advising on policy compliance and planning merits.


• Attending the office one day per week, with additional day attendance for meetings and site visits (if needed)


• Contract until March.
