Location: Leeds

Salary: £100,000 to £160,000 (depending on experience and following)

Experience: Senior Associate to Partner (with client following)

Our client is looking to appoint a Private Client Partner (or an established Senior Associate ready to step up) into a growing Private Wealth team in Leeds.

This is a strong opportunity for a private client lawyer who enjoys relationship-led work with high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals and families, and who wants a genuine platform to build and shape a practice. The team advises on a broad range of personal legal matters, with a clear focus on careful estate planning and long-term client relationships.

You will take a lead role in developing the firm’s Private Client offering in Leeds. The role is a blend of high-quality advisory work, client relationship ownership, and business development. You will also play a key part in supporting and developing the wider team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and managing existing client relationships with high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals and families

• Driving new business generation and contributing to the growth strategy for the Private Client practice

• Advising on a broad range of private client matters, including lifetime and post-death planning

• Delivering practical, commercial solutions tailored to client needs

• Delegating appropriately to support profitability and effective matter management

• Supporting, mentoring and developing team members to enhance performance and engagement

• Contributing to wider sector and client initiatives as required

• Working to agreed financial and chargeable targets and KPIs

What We’re Looking For

• Senior Associate or Partner level private client lawyer

• STEP qualified

• Strong business development capability, with evidence of building and maintaining a client base

• A client following (or a clear, credible plan to bring and grow work)

• Strong technical knowledge across the full range of private client work

• Confident communicator with a relationship-led approach

• Collaborative leadership style, with an interest in developing others
