Real Estate Legal Director or Partner

Salary: £95,000 - £120,000 + generous bonus

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne City Centre

Experience: Senior level, and must have a client following

A senior real estate opportunity with a progressive UK law firm that has delivered consistent double-digit growth in recent years and is on track to do the same again this year.

The Opportunity

You will join an established, high-performing real estate practice that is continuing to grow, with an existing client base and a clear strategy for further expansion in Leeds.

This role suits a Legal Director or Partner who enjoys leading complex transactions, developing client relationships, and building a team around them.

About the Role

• 
  

  Lead and advise on a broad range of commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant, and development work

  
  


• 
  

  Draft, review and negotiate key transaction documents and provide commercially focused advice

  
  


• 
  

  Work closely with colleagues across planning, construction, corporate, finance and disputes to deliver joined-up support on complex projects

  
  


• 
  

  Manage and grow key client relationships and contribute to the strategic development of the Leeds real estate offering

  
  


• 
  

  Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and support team development

  
  


• 
  

  Contribute to business development, networking and profile-raising

  
  

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• 
  

  Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales

  
  


• 
  

  Senior-level commercial real estate experience with strong technical capability

  
  


• 
  

  Proven ability to manage matters independently and lead client relationships

  
  


• 
  

  Candidates must have an established following

  
  


• 
  

  Strong commercial judgement, attention to detail and a proactive approach

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborative working style and commitment to developing others

  
  

Desirable

• 
  

  Experience advising on development and regeneration projects

  Experience working with institutional investors, developers or public sector clients

  Track record of mentoring and team leadership at senior level
