Refrigeration Engineer

Engineer base and travel regions: Coventry, Leicester and surrounding areas.

Permanent Full Time

Salary £42,000 (based on 37.5 contracted hours) + Company Vehicle and Excellent Package

We are working with a reputable and growing national facilities management contractor that delivers planned and reactive building maintenance services across a portfolio of pubs, bars and hospitality venues.

Due to continued growth, they are recruiting for their mobile engineering team. You will specialise in the servicing and repair of cellar cooling and refrigeration systems across pubs and bars.

The Role:

• Service and maintain beer and beverage cellar-cooling equipment, small commercial refrigeration and related plant.


• Work on split/multi-split refrigeration systems, condensers and associated controls where required.


• Carry out planned maintenance, fault diagnosis, reactive repairs and minor installation works.


• Complete checks, pressure/performance testing, commissioning and service documentation as appropriate.


• Respond to helpdesk jobs, identify further repairs and provide information for quotations.


• Travel across the regional portfolio, meeting agreed SLAs and updating the CAFM system.


• Work safely, liaise with venue teams and participate in the standby rota.

The Person:

• Experience servicing and repairing refrigeration or air-conditioning systems; hospitality-sector experience is not essential.


• Relevant City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or equivalent.


• F-Gas Category


• Experience of cellar cooling, commercial refrigeration or comparable equipment advantageous.


• Ability to diagnose faults, work independently and complete digital maintenance records.


• Strong customer service skills, full UK driving licence and flexibility for regional travel and callout.

The Package:

• Basic Salary £42,000


• Permanent, full-time position


• 37.5 contracted hours per week.


• Overtime available


• Company van and travel paid after the first and last 30 minutes of each day.


• Callout travel paid door to door.


• £150 standby payment; callout rota approximately 1 week in 6.
