Nursing Home Manager – Nurse Qualified

£70,000–£75,000 per year | Full Time

We’re looking for an accomplished, nurse-qualified Nursing Home Manager with proven experience leading a nursing home and a strong track record of achieving positive CQC outcomes. This is a role for an experienced Registered Manager who understands how to balance clinical standards, regulatory compliance, team leadership and the successful day-to-day operation of a home.

You’ll take overall responsibility for the service, providing visible and accountable leadership while continuing to strengthen quality and maintain consistently high standards of resident care.

What We’re Looking For

• RGN or RMN qualification with an active NMC registration – essential


• Previous experience as a Registered Nursing Home Manager – essential


• A strong and demonstrable track record with CQC and positive inspection outcomes


• Proven experience maintaining and improving standards within a nursing home


• Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding and clinical governance


• Strong understanding of quality assurance, audits and continuous improvement


• Experience leading and developing multidisciplinary nursing and care teams


• Confidence managing staffing, recruitment, retention and performance


• Strong operational and financial management skills


• A thorough understanding of person-centred care for older adults

Leading the Home

• Take overall responsibility for the clinical, operational and regulatory performance of the nursing home


• Lead, motivate and develop nursing, care and support teams


• Maintain consistently high standards of safe and person-centred care


• Ensure the home remains fully compliant with CQC and wider regulatory requirements


• Use audits, quality monitoring and feedback to identify and drive improvements


• Maintain robust clinical governance and safeguarding practices


• Oversee recruitment, staffing levels, retention and team development


• Support managers and clinical colleagues to maintain strong practice throughout the home


• Build positive relationships with residents, relatives and external professionals


• Manage budgets and resources effectively while protecting care quality


• Promote a positive culture where colleagues feel supported and residents remain at the centre of decision-making
