Level 3 Room Leader

£28,600 per year | 40 Hours per Week | South Manchester

Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, the setting gives children the freedom to explore their ideas, express themselves and develop independence through meaningful play. From creative experiences indoors to tending allotment areas and exploring nearby park, children's interests and curiosity help shape how they learn.

The nursery also incorporates a bilingual approach, creating an inclusive environment where different languages, cultures and ways of communicating are celebrated.

We're looking for an experienced Level 3 Early Years professional to join as Room Leader, working alongside a diverse team of educators, teachers and artists to create experiences that genuinely engage children.

What We're Looking For

• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.


• Previous experience as an Early Years Educator, Nursery Nurse or Nursery Practitioner.


• Experience leading a room or taking on additional senior responsibilities would be beneficial.


• Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework.


• An interest in Reggio Emilia-inspired and child-led learning.


• Confidence supporting children's development through play and everyday experiences.


• Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge.


• Excellent communication skills with children, families and colleagues.


• A commitment to inclusive practice, teamwork and creating an environment where every child can participate.

Lead a Room That Encourages Exploration

• Lead your room team and maintain consistently high standards of Early Years practice.


• Create experiences that encourage children to explore, question, experiment and express their ideas.


• Deliver learning in line with the EYFS and the nursery's curriculum and pedagogy.


• Support children's confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing.


• Ensure children's individual needs are recognised through thoughtful and inclusive practice.


• Observe children's development and identify meaningful opportunities to extend their learning.


• Regularly review the room environment and identify ways to make activities and learning experiences even stronger.


• Support, mentor and develop practitioners within your team.


• Maintain accurate records and documentation.


• Work closely with other Room Leaders and the management team to support the wider nursery.


• Maintain excellent standards of safeguarding, welfare and health and safety.
