Room Leader – Level 3

£31,500 per year | 40 Hours per Week | Full Time

A thoughtfully designed environment can make a real difference to how children play, explore and develop – and this nursery gives its practitioners plenty to work with.

Refurbished to a high standard, the setting has spacious rooms filled with natural resources, creating a warm and fun environment. Outside, a large and well-equipped garden offers mud kitchens, play areas and plenty of space to move, helping children build physical confidence while enjoying the outdoors every day.

As Room Leader, you’ll take ownership of your room, supporting your team to turn these environments into meaningful learning experiences while maintaining consistently high standards of care.

What We’re Looking For

• A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above


• Previous experience within an Early Years setting


• Room Leader, Deputy Room Leader or senior practitioner experience would be beneficial


• Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and child development


• Confidence leading and supporting a team of practitioners


• Experience with observations, planning and assessment


• An understanding of how to create engaging, play-led learning opportunities


• Strong organisation and communication skills


• A warm, positive and supportive approach

Taking the Lead in Your Room

• Take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of your room


• Lead and support practitioners to deliver high-quality Early Years care and education


• Plan experiences around children's interests, development and next steps


• Make creative use of the nursery's natural resources and outdoor environment


• Encourage children to develop independence, confidence and curiosity


• Maintain high standards across safeguarding, health and safety and nursery procedures


• Oversee observations, assessments and development records


• Ensure appropriate staffing and ratios are maintained


• Build positive relationships with parents and families


• Create a room where children feel secure, engaged and excited to learn
