New Job Opening: Sales and Customer Relations Advisor in Whitby

Job Description

We are recruiting for a Customer Relations Advisor to join an established manufacturing business, providing a key link between customers and internal supply chain and logistics teams.

This is a varied, customer-focused position where you’ll take ownership of customer orders from receipt through to dispatch, keeping customers informed throughout and working closely with colleagues internally to ensure orders stay on track.

It would suit someone with previous office-based customer service or sales support experience who is confident communicating with customers, comfortable chasing information internally and able to manage several priorities at once.

Some of the Sales & Customer Relations Advisor responsibilities will be:

• Acting as a frontline contact for customers, providing a professional and responsive service


• Processing customer orders from initial receipt through to dispatch


• Keeping customers updated on the progress of their orders and resolving queries


• Processing customer invoices and assisting with invoice-related queries


• Liaising with internal teams to obtain updates on production, stock and order progress


• Organising transport and preparing relevant logistics documentation


• Communicating with logistics partners regarding order and delivery status


• Monitoring stock levels and finished goods transactions


• Providing administrative and reporting support across the supply chain team


• Building positive relationships with customers and ensuring they receive a high level of service

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience within an office-based customer service, sales support or order processing role


• Around 1-2 years’ experience within an engineering, manufacturing or similar environment would be advantageous


• Confident communication skills and the ability to build relationships with customers at all levels


• A proactive approach, with the confidence to liaise with internal teams to obtain information and provide customers with accurate updates
