School Premises Assistant – Ad‑Hoc / Temporary Shifts
Location: London Area
Hourly Rate: From £12.71 Per Hour

We are seeking reliable, proactive, and hands‑on individuals to join our pool of School Premises Assistants, supporting a variety of schools across London on an ad‑hoc temporary basis.

This role is ideal for someone with a practical approach who takes pride in maintaining safe, secure, and well‑presented school environments. You will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day operation of school sites, supporting staff, pupils, and visitors alike.

About the Role
As a School Premises Assistant, you will support the overall upkeep and operation of the school site. Each shift may vary, and you will be expected to adapt to different tasks throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out basic maintenance and minor repair tasks


• Assist with opening and securing school buildings


• Set up classrooms, halls, and other areas for lessons and events


• Receive deliveries and move equipment where required


• Monitor the site and report any maintenance or health & safety concerns


• Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a premises, caretaker, facilities, or maintenance role is desirable


• Good practical and problem‑solving skills


• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively


• A flexible and proactive approach to work


• Understanding of health & safety procedures


• Enhanced DBS preferred or willingness to obtain one
