Ben Obese-Jecty, the Member of Parliament for Huntingdon, is looking for a Senior Caseworker to join his team. Caseworkers play an important role in an MP's office, supporting the MP to ensure that constituents' concerns are heard and actioned.
This is a senior role within the team. You will manage a caseload of complex and sensitive cases, work with local and national agencies to resolve them, and brief the MP on trends and issues affecting the constituency.
The role is office based in Huntingdon. We would also consider candidates based in Westminster who can work from the Huntingdon office on Fridays and during recess.
You will have solid experience of complex casework on behalf of members of the public. Experience in an MP's office is an advantage, but we would be just as interested to hear from people who have built comparable experience elsewhere, for example at a local council, a housing provider or an advice service.
Knowledge of the Huntingdon area and existing or previous parliamentary security clearance would be an advantage.
We will review applications as they arrive and may invite candidates to interview, and make an appointment, before the closing date. Early applications are encouraged.
Please apply on this page, uploading your CV and cover letter as a single document. Your cover letter should tell us about your casework experience, why this role appeals to you, and what you would bring to Ben's team.
Appointment is subject to Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance and right to work checks. CTC normally requires you to have been resident in the UK for at least three of the last five years. A start date cannot be agreed until security clearance and pre-employment checks are complete.
Please let us know if you require any reasonable adjustments to support you through the recruitment process.
