Are you an experienced Corporate Finance Manager or Senior Manager looking for complete transaction autonomy, direct access to owner-managers, and a clear, structured route to Partnership within a rapidly expanding regional practice? Our client is a prominent, multi-disciplinary accountancy and business advisory group operating across Derbyshire and South Yorkshire. Seeking to expand their dealmaking advisory team, they are looking for an ambitious ACA/ACCA qualified Senior Corporate Finance Manager to lead SME transaction execution, manage client relationships, and drive regional origination.
The Opportunity
In this high-profile advisory role, you will take full operational leadership for the end-to-end execution of SME and lower mid-market M&A transactions—including business sales, disposals, MBOs/MBIs, debt and equity fundraising, and shareholder exits. Working directly alongside business founders and Group Directors, you will lead deal teams, oversee complex valuations and financial modeling, coordinate due diligence, and navigate client negotiations. As part of a full-service professional firm, you will collaborate seamlessly with internal tax, wealth management, and restructuring specialists to deliver holistic deal solutions while building a strong personal intermediary network across the East Midlands and South Yorkshire.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements
Qualifications & Experience: ACA or ACCA qualified with a minimum of 3+ years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) in corporate finance, transaction services, or M&A advisory within practice or a specialist boutique.
Transaction Execution: Proven track record of managing, structuring, and closing SME/lower mid-market transactions (£1m–£20m deal value), including drafting Information Memoranda, Heads of Terms, and managing transaction timetables.
Financial Modeling & Valuations: Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities, with strong commercial awareness regarding debt/equity structures and transaction tax implications.
Client & Intermediary Management: Exceptional client-facing skills with experience advising owner-managers and family-owned businesses. Proven capability to build referral networks with local lawyers, bankers, and wealth managers.
Team Leadership & Development: Demonstrated success coaching, managing, and reviewing the work of junior Executives and Analysts, promoting high quality standards and professional growth.
Package & Benefits
Competitive Remuneration: £65,000 – £80,000 base salary (commensurate with PQE and deal background) plus lucrative deal-completion/performance bonus scheme.
