National Account Manager – Grocery

£75,000 - £80,000, Car allowance, Bonus, Benefits

South Wales

Hybrid (office 2 days per week with UK travel)

A leading Food Manufacturer is currently looking for a Senior NAM / Senior National Account Manager with Grocery / Retailer experience to join their team. Reporting into the Sales Director, this Senior National Account Manager will need a proven track record in delivering profitable sales growth through effective account management, strategic customer development and strong commercial execution.

Senior National Account Manager responsibilities include:

• Manage and develop a major Retailer / Grocery account.


• Deliver sales, volume and margin targets through effective account planning.


• Build strong relationships with key customer stakeholders and decision-makers.


• Identify and secure new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.


• Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing, contracts and annual agreements.


• Develop and execute joint business plans with customers.


• Analyse sales performance, market trends and customer data to identify growth opportunities.


• Work closely with NPD, Finance and Supply Chain teams to deliver customer requirements and successful product launches.


• Provide accurate forecasting and market insight to support business planning.

You will be a Senior National Account Manager with proven experience with former Grocery / Retailer Account Management experience and ideally in a chilled food product category.

You will be able to demonstrable proven track record of delivering sales growth and commercial targets and have excellent negotiation, influencing and relationship-building skills.

Full UK driving licence is required.
