Sous Chef | Luxury Care Home

30 hours per week

£16.50 per hour

Our client is seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join the kitchen team within a luxury care home for older adults. Set within beautiful grounds, the home is committed to providing a fine dining experience, with nutritious, restaurant-quality meals tailored to residents' individual needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for a chef with experience in a professional kitchen who understands the importance of nutrition, hydration, specialist diets, food allergies, and exceptional customer service.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef, Senior Chef, or similar role


• Experience within a care home, nursing home or healthcare setting,


• Strong knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen compliance


• Understanding of specialist diets, nutrition, hydration, and allergens


• Ability to deliver consistently high-quality meals


• Excellent organisational and time management skills

• Knowledge of texture-modified diets and dietary requirements

What You'll Be Doing

• Preparing and cooking high-quality meals for residents


• Supporting the delivery of a fine dining experience


• Catering for specialist diets, allergies, and nutritional requirements


• Ensuring meals meet hydration and nutritional standards


• Assisting with menu planning and food preparation


• Maintaining food hygiene and health & safety standards


• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen


• Working closely with the wider team to enhance resident wellbeing
