This position will be responsible for identifying, sifting, and selecting new onshore wind development prospects across GB at the very earliest stage of development, working alongside a larger team of project managers and other technical experts.
The role will be focused on desk-based site prospecting to identify new onshore wind opportunities. Familiarity with environmental constraints, land ownership matters and trends, and knowledge of GIS software and systems are critical skills. The successful candidate will identify the best sites, model their environmental and economic potential for onshore wind development, represent Vattenfall in commercial negotiations with landowners and their representatives, and present options for formal project initiation to senior managers.
The successful candidate will work in a small team of new sites specialists, and work as part of a broader team of development professionals.
