NHS Booking Clerk

Manpower is recruiting a Booking Clerk on behalf of our Public Sector client the NHS.

Swansea
Contract:

Temporary, duration 4 weeks minimum with possible extension
Hours:

Full time, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Hourly rate:

£11.86

Start date
Immediately subject to satisfactory DBS check and references. Manpower pays for the cost of the DBS check.

The role
As a Booking Clerk you will be the first point of contact for admissions and booking appointments within the department. You will liaise with patients to book their appointments and provide key information to enable them to attend.

Main duties of the job
Admissions
Booking, cancelling and re-arranging appointments by phone
Calling patients to confirm they will be attending their appointment
Liaising with Consultants with regards to theatre availability
Provide a high standard of customer service
Use of hospital systems to effectively support the management of the patient journey
Essential Knowledge and Skills
Experience working with emails, spreadsheets and Microsoft packages
Administrative or clerical experience
Customer service experience
Experience of working with the public sector or in a call centre environment
Organisational and time management skills
