Night Hygiene Operative

Keeping a food production site running safely starts long before the next shift begins. As Night Hygiene Operative, you'll play an important part in making sure production areas and equipment are thoroughly cleaned, compliant and ready to go.
 
This is a hands-on position within a cold and wet factory environment, where you'll carry out everything from routine cleaning to deep cleans and equipment strip-downs. You'll receive training from day one, with opportunities to develop your skills, progress through the pay levels and build a stable career within food manufacturing.

£13.62 per hour at Level 1, £14.12 at Level 2 or £14.62 at Level 3, depending on experience.

Your responsibilities as Night Hygiene Operative

Complete daily cleaning schedules across food production areas to the required hygiene standards.
Carry out scheduled deep cleans to help maintain a safe and compliant manufacturing environment.
Strip down production equipment before cleaning and correctly reassemble it afterwards.
Follow cleaning instructions and food safety procedures accurately throughout each shift.
Use cleaning equipment, chemicals and PPE correctly and in line with safe working procedures.
Help ensure production areas and machinery are clean, hygienic and ready for the next production run. 
What we’re looking for in Night Hygiene Operative

Experience of industrial, factory, food production or similar cleaning work would be beneficial.
Ability to carry out physical work throughout a night shift in cold and wet conditions.
Ability to follow detailed cleaning, hygiene and food safety procedures.
Understanding of safe working practices and the correct use of PPE.
Experience stripping down and reassembling production equipment would be advantageous. 
Working hours: Choice of 4 on, 4 off, 5:30pm–6:00am; Monday–Friday, 9:30pm–6:00am; or Tuesday–Saturday, 9:30pm–6:00am.
