Night Transport Manager - Drive Impact in a Fast-Paced Logistics Environment

Brentwood (with some travel to client sites) - Must drive due to location

Sunday to Thursday - Or Monday to Friday 5pm - 2am - or 6pm - 3am

Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 per annum (DOE)

The Opportunity:

This isn’t just another night manager job. You’ll be the go-to person when it matters most - ensuring vehicles are where they need to be, problems are solved quickly, and the team is fully supported. You’ll manage a busy shift, oversee a fleet of vehicle movements, and liaise directly with drivers, teams, and clients to keep everything on track.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Managing a team of drivers and overnight staff - including scheduling, task allocation, and support
• Handling breakdowns, changes, and urgent issues with calm, clear direction
• Ensuring all safety and compliance procedures are followed to the letter
• Communicating with clients to keep them updated and reassured
• Completing detailed reports, logs, and handovers for seamless transitions
• Playing a key role in recruitment, training, and performance reviews for your team

What You Bring:

A solid background in transport/logistics - ideally in a night-based role

Excellent leadership and communication skills

Strong knowledge of driver regulations (CPC a bonus)

Cool-headed problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask effectively

A can-do attitude and a commitment to delivering results under pressure
