Night Machine Shop CNC Operative

A rare opportunity has arisen within a long established manufacturing company in the Medway Towns for a Night Machine Shop CNC Operative to work nights in their machine shop on a permanent basis.

The position involves:

• Processing mouldings within the machining department encompassing CNC turning, CNC milling, manual turning, manual milling and drilling.
• Processing of parts in accordance with the relevant drawings, techniques and instructions.

You may also be required to undertake the following tasks on occasion:

• Inspection of machine parts.
• First off checks of other operators work.
• Duties may vary and can include other roles when required.

Working Hours:

This is a 46 hour per week role, Monday-Thursday 18.00-06.00, paying £15.23 per hour, however training will initially be on days Monday-Thursday 06.00-16.30, Friday 06.00-14.30, 48 hours per week paying £13.24 per hour.

The ideal candidate will have previous manufacturing and CNC experience, must work well under pressure and to deadlines, have excellent time keeping skills, a positive can-do attitude and great literacy and numeracy skills. Ideal candidate must also be able to work using their own initiative and prioritise tasks whilst being able to problem solve.
