Night Operations Supervisor

Location: Bristol, BS3
Salary: £32,000 - £34,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday (Nights)

Sunday: 21:00 – 07:00
Monday to Thursday: 22:00 – 07:00 (or until tasks are completed)
Start Date:Before 4th July 2025

We’re looking for a Night Operations Supervisor to lead our warehouse and yard teams through our night shifts, ensuring the smooth running of both warehousing operations and transport coordination. This hybrid role bridges the gap between warehouse supervision and transport oversight — ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the nightly warehouse and yard operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and workflow targets are met.
Manage a team of warehouse operatives and yard staff, offering leadership, delegation, and support.
Liaise with and support the transport department – including stepping into a Transport Coordinator role when required.
Ensure accurate completion of dispatch paperwork, driver briefs/debriefs, and vehicle checks.
Maintain site standards in line with health & safety, compliance, and operational KPIs.
Coordinate with day teams to ensure seamless shift handovers and communication.

Requirements:

Experience in logistics, warehousing, or transport is essential.
Previous supervisory experience is desirable but not mandatory – strong team leaders will be considered.
Confident using transport and warehouse management systems.
Able to make decisions under pressure and manage shift priorities in real time.
Good understanding of yard safety, warehouse SOPs, and transport compliance.
Reliable, adaptable, and hands-on approach to managing a team at night.
