As the Night Transport Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of night-time distribution operations. You will lead a team of drivers and logistics staff, ensuring all deliveries meet strict deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Description

• Oversee and coordinate all night-time transport operations, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch of goods

• Supervise and support a team of drivers and warehouse operatives

• Conduct vehicle checks and ensure compliance with legal and company standards

• Monitor route planning and respond to any operational challenges during the night

• Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures across the shift

• Liaise with the day transport and warehouse teams to ensure seamless handovers

• Produce nightly reports and performance updates for senior management

Profile

• Proven experience in a transport supervisory or similar logistics leadership role

• Experience working night shifts in a fast-paced FMCG, foodservice or distribution environment

• Strong knowledge of transport compliance and driver regulations (e.g., WTD, tachographs)

• Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills

• The ability to remain calm under pressure and solve problems in real time

• A proactive and hands-on approach to operational excellence

• Flexibility to work night shifts, typically Sunday-Thursday
