The Vet Office is recruiting on behalf of a brand-new, state-of-the-art 24-hour small animal hospital in Thurmaston, Leicestershire, which opened in April 2024.

What Could You Do With 25 Days Off After Just 3 Shifts?

You will work:

• Saturday, Sunday & Monday nights

• 7:00pm – 9:00am (including a paid 1-hour break)

• Then enjoy 25 consecutive days completely off

The Role

• Night Veterinary Surgeon – Sole Charge

• Managing a varied emergency and critical care caseload

• Supported by an experienced nursing team

• Ideal for a confident all-rounder with strong medical and surgical skills

• Excellent opportunity for autonomy, challenge, and professional growth

Candidate Requirements

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon

• Confident working sole charge overnight

• Strong all-rounder in both medical and surgical cases

• ECC experience desirable

• Excellent communication and decision-making skills

• Comfortable mentoring and working closely with nursing colleagues

Salary & Benefits

• Up to £19,687.50 per year (pro rata)

  • Based on an average of 10.5 hours per week

  • Equivalent to £75,000 FTE
