Spencer Clarke Group is currently looking for compassionate, dedicated and experienced Mentors to provide personalised 1:1 support to young people across North Wales.
The young people we support may be:
Out of mainstream education Struggling with attendance or school refusal Experiencing anxiety or SEMH needs Diagnosed with ASD or ADHD Living with additional learning needs or EHCP requirements Experiencing difficulties with confidence, motivation or emotional regulation Finding traditional school settings challengingAs a 1:1 Mentor, you will build positive and trusting relationships with young people, helping them develop confidence, improve engagement and work towards their personal goals. You will provide consistent encouragement, support emotional wellbeing and help learners overcome barriers that may be affecting their education and everyday lives.
What we're looking for:
Minimum of 1 year's experience working with children or young people Experience in mentoring, youth work, education, pastoral support or a similar role Experience supporting young people with SEN, SEMH or additional needs Strong communication and relationship-building skills A patient, empathetic and adaptable approach Ability to encourage positive behaviour, confidence and engagement Understanding of barriers to education, including anxiety and school avoidance Ability to work independently and provide tailored 1:1 support Availability for flexible daytime sessions A genuine passion for making a positive difference in young people's livesWhat we offer:

Spencer Clarke Group work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary, Special Education needs and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
