Long-Term Opportunity at RAF Brize Norton

Danny Sullivan Group is currently recruiting for an experienced NPORS Traffic Marshal to join major, long-term construction and infrastructure projects at RAF Brize Norton.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on nationally significant Ministry of Defence infrastructure projects, with ongoing work expected throughout 2026 and beyond.

Projects include the £9 billion Ministry of Defence housing strategy, delivering 265 new-build military family homes, alongside major airfield resurfacing and infrastructure upgrades designed to modernise critical facilities at the UK's largest RAF station.

Working Pattern

7 days on / 2 days off or 12 days on / 2 days off

Pay Rates - PAYE

£15.33 per hour PAYE - Standard Rate
£19.17 per hour PAYE - Overtime after 10 hours
£20.39 per hour PAYE - Night Rate (7pm-7am)
£23.00 per hour PAYE - Weekend Rate

Your Role as a NPORS Traffic Marshal

As a Traffic Marshal, you will play an important role in maintaining the safe movement of vehicles, plant, deliveries and pedestrians across the construction site.

Your responsibilities will include:

Safely marshal vehicles entering, leaving and moving around the site
Direct and control site traffic and deliveries
Safely guide plant, HGVs and other vehicles into position
Assist with vehicle movements in busy or restricted areas
Maintain clear communication with drivers, plant operators and site teams
Ensure pedestrians and vehicles are safely separated
Monitor site access and maintain safe traffic routes
Follow site traffic management plans and procedures
Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment
Report hazards, unsafe conditions and near misses immediately
Support the wider site team when required
Follow all site, health & safety and MOD procedures at all times

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this role, you should have:

A valid NPORS Traffic Marshal card
Previous experience working as a Traffic Marshal/Banksman on a construction or civil engineering site
A good understanding of vehicle and pedestrian safety
Experience working around heavy plant, HGVs and construction machinery
Strong awareness of site health & safety procedures
Good communication skills
A reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude
The ability to work effectively as part of a busy site team
Previous experience on large construction, infrastructure or civil engineering projects is advantageous

Security clearance requirements may apply due to the military environment
