NQ Solicitor - Wills, Trusts & Estate Disputes

Yolk Legal are working with an established and highly regarded law firm, who are looking to appoint a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join its specialist Wills, Trusts & Estate Disputes team in Swansea.

This is an excellent opportunity for an NQ looking to build a career in contentious private client work within a team handling a varied and technically interesting caseload.

You may have gained exposure to contentious probate, private client, litigation or related work during your training contract, or you may simply have a strong interest in developing a career within this specialist area.

The successful candidate will receive strong technical support and the opportunity to develop their own expertise while working alongside experienced practitioners.

The Role

You will work on a broad range of contentious private client matters, advising individuals and families on sensitive and often complex disputes involving estates, trusts and succession.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with and managing contentious probate matters.
Advising on disputes relating to wills and estates.
Working on claims under the Inheritance Act.
Assisting with trust disputes and related contentious matters.
Undertaking legal research and preparing advice, correspondence and court documentation.
Supporting negotiations and alternative dispute resolution where appropriate.
Building strong and trusted relationships with clients.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider private client and litigation teams.
Contributing to the continued development and growth of the specialist practice.About You

This opportunity would suit an NQ Solicitor who is genuinely interested in developing a long-term career in Wills, Trusts & Estate Disputes.

You will ideally have:

Qualified as a Solicitor in England & Wales.
An interest in contentious probate, trusts, estates and/or private client litigation.
Relevant experience gained during your training contract, although this is not essential.
Strong analytical and research skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
The ability to deal sensitively and professionally with clients facing difficult circumstances.
Strong organisation and attention to detail.
A proactive approach to learning and professional development.
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.The Firm
