Nursery Practitioner (Level 2 – QTS)

Salary: £22,000 – £28,000 (dependent on qualifications and experience)

Hours per week: 41

What We’re Looking For

• A minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Early Years

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above (if your childcare qualification was obtained after September 2014)

• A strong working knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding practices

• A caring, enthusiastic, and team-focused attitude

About the Role

• Support the Room Leader in the day-to-day running of the room and wider nursery

• Act as a Key Person for a group of children, supporting their learning, development, and wellbeing

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework

• Complete observations and assessments to track children's progress

• Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment, both indoors and outdoors

• Build strong, professional relationships with parents and carers

• Ensure safeguarding and welfare standards are consistently upheld

• Assist with the setup and organisation of learning resources and equipment
