Job Description - Nursery Practitioner

Nursery Practitioner (Level 3)

Up to £26,000 | Full-Time (40 hrs/week)

Our client, a well-established and child-focused early years setting, is on the lookout for a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner who is passionate about play, learning, and building strong bonds with children and families. This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week) offering a competitive salary up to £26,000, plus a warm, supportive team culture and excellent benefits.

The service is proud of its inclusive, nurturing environment where every nursery practitioner is empowered to bring their whole self to work. Whether it’s through song, messy play, storytime or outdoor learning, practitioners are encouraged to be creative, curious, and deeply connected to the children in their care.

As a nursery practitioner, you’ll play a vital role in delivering exceptional early years education and care. You'll work alongside a committed and diverse team to create safe, enriching spaces where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and intellectually.

This role is ideal for someone who is ready to bring their knowledge of the EYFS to life through hands-on, child-led learning.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare (or equivalent) – essential

  • Previous experience as a nursery practitioner in a professional setting

  • Knowledge of child development and strong familiarity with the EYFS

  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and organisational skills

  • A nurturing, proactive, and adaptable approach

  • Commitment to inclusive, child-centred practice

Benefits & Perks

  • Competitive salary – up to £26,000

  • Discounted childcare for your own family

  • Pension scheme to support your long-term goals

  • Team events that celebrate your contribution

  • Regular training and development to support your growth as a nursery practitioner

  • A warm, collaborative team where your ideas are heard and valued

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS as a skilled nursery practitioner

  • Plan, observe, and reflect on learning experiences that support each child’s unique development

  • Build trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

  • Promote inclusive practices and contribute to a positive, respectful culture within the setting

  • Maintain a safe and stimulating environment, following safeguarding and health & safety procedures

  • Participate in team meetings, in-house training, and collaborative planning

Whether you're an experienced nursery practitioner seeking a new challenge or a Level 3 qualified professional ready to grow in a caring, forward-thinking setting, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact.
