Nursery Practitioner - Central Birmingham

THE ROLE

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play an important role in providing high-quality care, education and support to children aged 0-5 years.

You will work as part of a dedicated team to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, develop and reach their full potential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Support the learning, development and wellbeing of children aged 0-5 in line with the EYFS framework.
* Provide high-quality care and support to children in a safe and nurturing environment.
* Create engaging, stimulating and age-appropriate learning experiences.
* Plan and participate in activities that support children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development.
* Recognise and respond to each child's individual needs, interests and stage of development.
* Encourage children's confidence, independence, communication and social skills.
* Assist with planning and delivering activities that promote learning and development.
* Build positive and professional relationships with children, colleagues, parents and carers.
* Follow safeguarding procedures and promote the welfare of all children.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

* Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare - essential.
* Paediatric First Aid - desirable
* Previous experience working in a nursery or Early Years setting.
* Good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework.
* A genuine passion for working with young children.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A caring, patient and positive approach.
* The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* A flexible and proactive approach to work.
* A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
