We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Room Leader to join our client’s nursery team. As a Nursery Room Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and education are maintained for children in the nursery. This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours a week, offering a competitive salary of £28,000.

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent.

• Proven experience as a Nursery Room Leader, with a strong understanding of early childhood development and education.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and motivate staff within the room, ensuring teamwork and a positive atmosphere.

• Support, mentor, and supervise room staff, conducting regular observations and feedback.

• Organise rotas, delegate tasks, and oversee room routines.

• Plan, implement, and evaluate a rich curriculum based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

• Ensure all children have individual planning and developmental records.

• Monitor children’s progress and identify any areas of concern, working with SENCO if needed.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for all children.

• Follow safeguarding policies and procedures and report concerns promptly.

• Carry out regular risk assessments and ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines.

• Develop strong relationships with parents/carers and communicate effectively about their child’s progress.

• Support with parent consultations and transitions.

• Ensure all necessary paperwork, including daily registers, accident forms, and assessments, are completed accurately and promptly.

• Work in line with nursery policies, procedures, and regulatory standards (e.g., Ofsted).
