Job Description - O2R Practitioner

O2R Practitioner – Solihull Integrated Addiction Services 
Location: Newington Centre, Newington Road, Hamar Way, Marston Green, B377RW
Working Hours: 37
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary:  £27,340 - £29,443

Please note: The salary listed reflects the full earning potential for this role. Starting salaries depend on experience and progression within the band.

Join SIAS as an O2R Practitioner and play a vital role in supporting individuals whose offending is linked to substance use. 

What you’ll do 

As an O2R Practitioner, you’ll work sidebyside with a dedicated police officer and local partners to: 

  • Reach and engage people in custody, prison and the community 

  • Support individuals into the right treatment pathway – from rehab to community support 

  • Build strong, trusting relationships that motivate change 

  • Coordinate multiagency responses to reduce reoffending 

  • Track progress, outcomes and the impact of your work 

  • This is a dynamic role where every day is different, and every conversation can change a life. 

What we’re looking for 

  • Experience supporting people affected by substance use 

  • Strong communication, assessment and relationshipbuilding skills 

  • Confidence working across agencies and in the community 

  • A flexible, proactive approach and a commitment to recoveryfocused practice 
    Police vetting and travel across Solihull are .
