Job Description

Kanadevia Inova is seeking an experienced O&M Reliability Manager to support our global Operations & Maintenance (O&M) portfolio across Energy-from-Waste, Biomass, Renewable Gas, and process plant facilities.

Role Overview

This is a highly visible role focused on operational reliability, asset integrity, maintenance assurance, and continuous improvement across Kanadevia Inova’s global O&M portfolio.

Based in the UK on a remote or hybrid basis with international travel required, the O&M Reliability Manager will provide independent operational oversight, conducting plant audits, inspections, and operational reviews to support safe, compliant, and high-performing operations across international facilities. Working closely with the Group HSE Director, the role will drive operational integrity, asset reliability, risk reduction, and proactive safety initiatives while building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and clients globally.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct independent audits and inspections across O&M facilities, producing detailed reports, improvement plans, and actionable recommendations to enhance operational reliability, maintenance performance, and asset integrity.
    • Ensure all operational and maintenance activities comply with legal, corporate, client, HSEQ, and industry best practice requirements, while promoting a strong culture of safety, operational discipline, and continuous improvement.
    • Review plant operational performance, maintenance standards, equipment condition, incidents, and reliability trends to identify risks, optimise asset performance, and support preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
    • Develop and implement operational assurance and reliability programmes across EfW, Biomass, Renewable Gas, Biogas/AD, and industrial process plants, ensuring consistent standards and effective follow-up of corrective actions.
    • Support major incident investigations, behavioural safety initiatives, and cross-site learning activities, while delivering regular operational and reliability reporting to senior leadership and Group HSE functions.

This posting reflects the main responsibilities of the role and is not exhaustive. Duties and responsibilities may evolve in line with business needs and the successful candidate’s experience and capabilities.

        Qualifications

        Qualifications & Experience

        • Degree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Environmental Engineering, or Business Management
        • Minimum 5 years’ experience within O&M power generation, Energy-from-Waste, Biomass, Biogas/AD, or process industries and WtE maintenance.
        • Strong understanding of boiler systems, steam cycles, rotating equipment, utilities, and process operations
        • Experience working across multi-site and international industrial environments
        • Proven background in operations, maintenance, reliability, asset integrity, or operational assurance roles

        Skills & Competencies

        • Strong analytical, fault-finding, and continuous improvement capabilities
        • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all organisational levels
        • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with global teams
        • Good working knowledge of CMMS, DCS/SCADA systems, MS Office, and reporting tools
        • Flexible and professional approach with willingness to travel internationally as required

        • Join a global leader in sustainable energy and Waste-to-X infrastructure
        • Work across a diverse international portfolio of industrial energy assets
