Location: Coventry, CV1 4LY Rate: £13.48 per hour PAYE Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 8:30am to 5:00pm Friday: 8:30am to 4:30pm 1-hour unpaid lunch break Monday to FridayWorking basis: Fully onsite position Duration: Temporary basis, 3 months with reviewal to extend.
About the Role Opus People Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Occupational Health Administrator to join a busy Occupational Health team with Coventry City Council based in Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised administrator with strong scheduling and customer service skills to support the efficient delivery of occupational health services. The successful candidate will provide a range of administrative and reception duties, acting as a key point of contact for employees, managers, and healthcare professionals. You will be responsible for managing appointment schedules, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all administrative processes are completed efficiently and confidentially.
Key Responsibilities
Managing occupational health appointment bookings and scheduling Maintaining and updating appointment diaries Providing a professional reception service for visitors and service users Handling telephone and email enquiries Accurately inputting and maintaining confidential employee records Supporting the administration of occupational health referrals and assessments Preparing documentation and correspondence as required Filing, scanning, and maintaining electronic records Assisting with general administrative duties to support the wider team Ensuring compliance with data protection and confidentiality requirements Essential Experience & Skills
Previous administration experience within a busy office environment Experience of appointment scheduling and diary management Strong data entry skills with excellent attention to detail Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist, GP Receptionist, GP Administrator, or within a healthcare setting is highly desirable Excellent communication and customer service skills Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively Professional and confidential approach to handling sensitive information Strong organisational skills and attention to detail What We're Looking For We are seeking a highly organised individual who can work effectively within a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
