Ocean Export Operator

We are looking for an Ocean Export Operator to join our client near Thurrock. This role will focus on handling general export consol set-ups, managing bookings, and ensuring all export documentation and processes are completed smoothly.

• Export Consol Management

  • Organise and manage general export consol shipments.

  • Liaise with carriers, co-loaders, and overseas agents.

• Customer & Booking Management

  • Take customer bookings and arrange collections/pick-ups.

  • Keep clients updated throughout the shipment process.

• Quoting & Pricing

  • Provide quotations for export shipments.

  • Work with partners and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.

• Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare and check export documents (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading).

  • Ensure customs clearance requirements are met, including ISF and other regulatory filings.

  • Advise customers on correct documentation needed for smooth export processing.

• General Operations

  • Coordinate with warehouse, transport, and accounts teams.

  • Handle any day-to-day operational issues.

• Previous experience in Ocean Export operations (LCL/FCL).

• Good understanding of the export process and customs procedures.

• Ability to prepare and check all required documentation.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple shipments at once.

• Competent in freight systems and Microsoft Office.
