Bucklesham Primary School is looking for an Office Administrator.
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Office Administrator who will have sole responsibility for managing the general operation of the school office and its business and administrative support to all members of our school community, building strong relationships with our staff team, our children and our families.
Located in a small rural village just outside of Ipswich, the school is driven by a strong, nurturing ethos which supports the development of the whole child. The school has four mixed age classes, with just over 100 children, and we are keen to appoint a dedicated and highly motivated Office Administrator to support the efficient running of the school. There is some flexibility around 4 or 5 days a week, through job sharing with an existing member of staff. If working 5 days, there could be some flexibility around Monday and Tuesday being slightly shorter days from 8.30am - 3:30pm.
Your responsibilities:
facilities management administration
reception and front of school duties
organising and planning school trips
organising repairs and maintenance, liaising with contractors
school dinner numbers and spreadsheets
compiling and sending out weekly newsletters and emails
updating Arbor information management system database
ordering resources and equipment
PA support to the staff team and Headteacher
ensuring the office function provides a quality service and runs efficiently
planning, developing and monitoring whole school systems, procedures and policies
first aid, once trained.
You will need:
strong interpersonal skills
strong IT skills
excellent customer service skills
office management and administration experience or similar
excellent organisational skills
ability to be flexible and adapt to multiple tasks.

There is some flexibility on the four days on an ad hoc basis, but it would ideally be a Tuesday - Friday as set days or 5 days would be Monday -Friday. Most of the higher-level finance work is completed by other staff.
